Our Vessel
Our proud vessel was built in Falmouth in 1911 and was christened the Carbolate. It started life a an oil tanker serving the tar works at Bristol & Gloucester
Since then, she has carried passengers, served drinks, survived changing times, and come rather close to disappearing altogether.
After years of painstaking restoration, she has been given a renewed purpose—as the Docks' most unusual dining experience.
That’s 65 tonnes of maritime history, an immense amount of family hard work, and now, thankfully, considerably less tar!
